Virginia Corrie-Cozart is a retired music teacher who lives in Salem, Oregon, with her husband, David, a retired psycho-therapist. Their combined family includes five grown children and eleven grandchildren. Virginia still calls the southern Oregon coast home, and many of her poems are located there, including the four given here. Her book, A Mutable Place, was published by Traprock Books in 2003. Her poems have appeared in Calyx, Windfall, Fireweed, and The Oregonian, among others.
