Arlee Woodhull works as a self-employed tax consultant in Sutherlin, Oregon, but her artistic outlet is her love of poetry. She is also writing a children's book for her granddaughter. Her father was part Choctaw and her mother was English. She was raised with Native American spirituality and that is still her core, though she also practices Buddhism. Writing poetry is a spiritual activity for her. Some of her favorite poets are Dylan Thomas, Sherman Alexie, Leslie Silko, Jim Barnes, and Anita Endrezze Probst.
